BrGDB is being developed as a part of our NSF-funded project "PlantGDB - Plant Genome Database and Analysis Tools" (PI: Volker Brendel). The purpose of this resource is to provide a convenient sequence-centered genome view for Brassica rapa, with a narrow focus on gene structure annotation.

Our view of the Brassica rapa genome is currently emerging (click here to view the latest Brassica rapa sequence count). BrGDB provides a scaled view of the Brassica rapa gene space by continuously mapping the ESTs and PUTs onto Brassica rapa genomic BACs. As the genome gets assembled, contig and pseudochromosome views will become available, too. Please let us know what you like and don't like about BrGDB.

Click here to see an example display, a 10kb region of BAC gi86160949 . For legends and help using BrGDB, click wherever you see the symbol. Links to other maize resources are in the left column, as are links to BrGDB Projects, Tutorials, underlying Data & Methods, and Download options. The Noteworthy column on the right provides links to particular topics of interest and recent projects.
